The Roscommon Herald Handicap of €18,000 (Generously sponsored by the Roscommon Herald) Of which the second will receive €3,600, the third €1,800, the fourth €900 and the fifth €450 An extended handicap for three yrs old only (90 = 9st 12lb) Top weight in the original handicap shall not be less than 9st 12lb About one mile and two furlongs €126 to enter, €36 extra if declared to run Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 6lb extra for each race won. Horses which receive a published weight of 8st 3lb or less will be entitled to a 50% reduction in entry fee. Should they be declared to run they will then become liable for the full amount of the cost to run.
