The Grant Thornton Apprentice Handicap of €10,500 (Rated 45-65) (Generously sponsored by Grant Thornton) Of which the second will receive €2,100, the third €1,050, the fourth €525 and the fifth €262.50 An extended handicap for three yrs old and upwards rated 45-65 About one mile, three furlongs and 70 yds €73.50 to enter, €21 extra if declared to run Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 6lb extra for each race won. Riders - Open to all Apprentices who are apprenticed to trainers in Ireland.
