The Leinster Leader Mares Handicap Hurdle of €12,500 (Generously sponsored by The Leinster Leader) Of which the second will receive €2,500, the third €1,250, the fourth €625 and the fifth €312.50 An extended handicap hurdle for four yrs old and upwards, mares only (116 = 11st 10lb) Top weight in the original handicap shall not be less than 11st 10lb About two miles, four furlongs and 40 yds €87.50 to enter, €25 extra if declared to run Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap to carry 6lb extra for each hurdle race won. Horses which receive a published weight of 9st 9lb or less will be entitled to a 50% reduction in entry fee. Should they be declared to run they will then become liable for the full amount of the cost to run. The Leinster Leader will present a trophy of no intrinsic value to the winning owner.
