The Irish Times Handicap of €12,500 (Generously sponsored by the Irish Times) Of which the second will receive €2,500, the third €1,250, the fourth €625 and the fifth €312.50 An extended handicap for three yrs old and upwards (85 = 9st 10lb) Top weight in the original handicap shall not be less than 9st 10lb About five furlongs €100 to enter, €25 extra if declared to run Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 5lb extra for each race won. Horses which receive a published weight of 8st 3lb or less will be entitled to a 50% reduction in entry fee. Should they be declared to run they will then become liable for the full amount of the cost to run.
