The Meath Farm Machinery Handicap Steeplechase of €17,000 (Generously sponsored by Meath Farm Machinery) Of which the second will receive €3,400, the third €1,700, the fourth €850 and the fifth €425 An extended handicap steeplechase for four yrs old and upwards (135 = 11st 10lb) Top weight in the original handicap shall not be less than 11st 10lb About two miles and four furlongs €136 to enter, €34 extra if declared to run Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase after calculation of the handicap to carry 6lb extra for each such steeplechase won. Horses which receive a published weight of 9st 9lb or less will be entitled to a 50% reduction in entry fee. Should they be declared to run they will then become liable for the full amount of the cost to run.
