The Guinness Veterans Handicap Steeplechase of €15,500 (Generously sponsored by Guinness) Of which the second will receive €2,635, the third €1,240 and the fourth €775 An extended handicap steeplechase for ten yrs old and upwards (123 = 11st 10lb) Top weight in the original handicap shall not be less than 11st 10lb About two miles and six furlongs €124 to enter, €31 extra if declared to run Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase after calculation of the handicap to carry 4lb extra for each such steeplechase won Note:- Any horse rated above 123 shall initially be treated as having that rating and the highest weight allotted shall be 11st 10lb. Subsequently, the excess over 123 in any rating shall be added to the weight allotted to that horse. Horses which receive a published weight of 9st 9lb or less will be entitled to a 50% reduction in entry fee. Should they be declared to run they will then become liable for the full amount of the cost to run.
