The Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Mares Handicap Steeplechase of €27,500 (Generously sponsored by the European Breeders Fund (€5,000)) Of which the second will receive €5,500, the third €2,750 and the fourth €1,100 An extended handicap steeplechase for four yrs old and upwards mares only which are EBF eligible (140 = 11st 10lb) About two miles and four furlongs €220 to enter, €55 extra if declared to run Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase or steeplechases after calculation of the handicap shall carry any penalty or penalties which may be allotted by the Handicapper. Note:- Any horse rated above 140 shall initially be treated as having that rating and the highest weight allotted shall be 11st 10lb. Subsequently, the excess over 140 in any rating shall be added to the weight allotted to that horse. (For the purpose of this note, any four year old rated above 140 shall have the applicable weight for age allowance then prevailing deducted from the horse's rating prior to the original calculation
