The Garryowen Veterans Handicap Steeplechase of €14,500 Of which the second will receive €2,465, the third €1,160 and the fourth €725 An extended handicap steeplechase for ten yrs old and upwards (130 = 11st 10lb) Top weight in the original handicap shall not be less than 11st 10lb About three miles €116 to enter, €29 extra if declared to run Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase after calculation of the handicap to carry 4lb extra for each such steeplechase won. Note:- Any horse rated above 130 shall initially be treated as having that rating and the highest weight allotted shall be 11st 10lb. Subsequently, the excess over 130 in any rating shall be added to the weight allotted to that horse. Horses which receive a published weight of 9st 9lb or less will be entitled to a 50% reduction in entry fee. Should they be declared to run they will then become liable for the full amount of the cost to run.
