The Follow Roscommon On Facebook Handicap of €10,000 Of which the second will receive €1,700, the third €800 and the fourth €500 An extended handicap for three yrs old and upwards (85 = 10st) About seven furlongs €80 to enter, €20 extra if declared to run Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 5lb extra for each race won Note:- Any horse rated above 85 shall initially be treated as having that rating and the highest weight allotted shall be 10st. Subsequently, the excess over 85 in any rating shall be added to the weight allotted to that horse. (For the purpose of this note, any three year old rated above 85 shall have the applicable weight for age allowance then prevailing deducted from the horse's rating prior to the original calculation of the handicap) Horses which receive a published weight of 8st 3lb or less will be entitled to a 50% reduction in entry fee. Should they be declared to run they will then become liable for the full amount of the cost to run.
