The Brandon Hotel Handicap of €11,000 (Generously sponsored by The Brandon Hotel, Tralee) Of which the second will receive €1,870, the third €880 and the fourth €550 An extended handicap for four yrs old and upwards (80 = 10st) About seven furlongs €88 to enter, €22 extra if declared to run Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner to carry 5lb extra for each race won Note:- Any horse rated above 80 shall initially be treated as having that rating and the highest weight allotted shall be 10st. Subsequently, the excess over 80 in any rating shall be added to the weight allotted to that horse. Horses which receive a published weight of 8st 3lb or less will be entitled to a 50% reduction in entry fee. Should they be declared to run they will then become liable for the full amount of the cost to run.
