The Kiernan Steel Handicap Steeplechase of €25,000 (Generously sponsored by Kiernan Steel, Longford) Winner will receive €15,000 (Penalty Value: €14,750) Second will receive €5,000 Third will receive €2,500 Fourth will receive €1,250 Fifth will receive €750 Sixth will receive €500 An extended handicap steeplechase for four years old and upwards (130 = 11st 12lbs) About 3 miles 1 furlong €225 to enter, €25 extra if declared to run Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase after calculation of the handicap shall carry 7lb extra for each steeplechase won. Horses which receive a published weight of 9st 13lbs or less will be entitled to a 50% reduction in entry fee.
