The Athlone Apprentice Handicap of €8,500 (Rated 50-70) Of which the second will receive €1,445, the third €680 and the fourth €425 An extended handicap for three yrs old and upwards rated 50-70 About one mile and four furlongs €68 to enter, €17 extra if declared to run Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 5lb extra for each race won Riders - Apprentices who are apprenticed to trainers in Ireland only and who have not lost the right to claim the 5lb allowance under Rule 69 Allowances - (up to and including 26th September and which are not cumulative) Apprentices who have not ridden a *winner allowed 7lb Those who have not ridden three *winners allowed 4lb Those who have not ridden twenty *winners allowed 2lb * Including races under any National Hunt Rules
